Privacy Policy

Everything is hosted on Servers in Europe (Germany)
We don’t collect any personal data. (Later we will probably add community features, comments, ratings, etc. which does count as personal data, so… here we are.)
We do collect logs for debugging and security purposes, but these logs do not contain personally identifiable information.

Introduction and Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how data is handled on SteamInputDB in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and applicable European laws. The terms are gender-neutral.

We want to describe clearly what happens with any personal data that may be involved when using our website.
Most of the time, we do not store personal data ourselves, except for user-generated content like comments.

Scope of Application

Users can create accounts only via third-party login through Steam.
We do not operate our own registration system and do not maintain a database of personal user profiles beyond the information needed to associate user interactions with a Steam account.
All other personal data, such as login credentials, remains with Steam and is subject to their privacy policy.

Third-party content, such as texts or images, may appear on the site, and we have no control over it.

Legal Basis

The personal data we store (user comments, ratings, votes, and similar interactions) is processed under the legal basis of legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
This allows users to interact on the site, display contributions publicly, and maintain continuity of user interactions.

All other personal data, such as login credentials, remains with Steam and is subject to their privacy policy.
