L5 is a turbo button for QTEs. Other back buttons are combat moves which would normally require multiple button presses (like A+X). Left trackpad is a gadget switcher, much better than the D-Pad. To get through the game launcher use the system-wide „Steam + right trackpad” shortcut

combined playtime A layout gradually developed and fine-tuned over the course of 100%-ing the first two games in the collection. Use the D-Pad (no diagonals) and the left touchpad (diagonals only) when needing precise input OR the left thumbstick (8 directions) when traversing solved rooms. This a very complex control scheme, so you might not love every little design decision that was made, but it should also be a great starting point for making modified ones ;)
