Just A Nice Joystick D-Pad Steam Deck I'm not a fan of the Deck's d-pad for this game. This is a pretty standard gamepad setup, but I use use the 'crossgate' option on the left stick, along with some feedback to "feel" the diagonals.

Optimized & Fully Labeled Steam Deck about 7 hours
combined playtime While this shines on the Deck & Steam controller, I also made it with any modern controller in mind! The touchpads are 2x2 button grids for d-pad and inventory, respectively, and also display small labels with icons to help those new to the game. A slight pull of L2 trigger well sneak/sniper scope, while a regular full pull still jumps. The 'select' button now toggles the HUD instead of redundantly displaying the menu like 'start'. Do whatever you like with the paddles if you use then.

Steamdeck Bliss! Steam Deck about 4 hours
combined playtime Base controller layout is mostly stock but with some sane back button mappings so you mostly keep your thumbs on the sticks. I did change left stick to wasd, and right stick to a highly tuned mouse control. These changes give faster and mor presice control, while also avoiding some weirdness with the default sticks. I also spent a lot of time tuning the gyro for precise aim assistance, but you can easily disable it if you want.
